Macau: Macau includes a tiny peninsula of southeast China and two small islands comprising less than 10 square miles. More than 33 percent of the people follow one of the many Chinese folk religions. Another 60 percent of the people claim no religion.

Macau Braun Support
Jon Braun serves as a GEO missionary through LCMS World Mission in Macau, a special administrative region of China. He builds relationships with his students as he teaches English as a Foreign Language in formal classes and more informal situations, such as special fellowship events. Jon also helps lead Bible studies and coordinate other events at the Concordia English Center.



Macau CELC Missionary
Rev. Wu, a Chinese pastor from Taiwan, serves the Macau Outreach Team as an evangelist to the Bible students who attend the outreach center. The team consists of one career missionary, 3 one-year volunteer missionary teachers, several short-term missionary teachers, one full-time and two part-time national secretaries. Wu is the only one with evangelism ability in the Chinese language. He also works with the Hong Kong Synod partner church's pastor and church members.



Macau Eddy U Support
Mary Eddy U serves the Lord as a long-term missionary with the Chinese people in Macau and surrounding areas. She teaches English-as-a-Foreign-Language (EFL) classes, leads Bible studies, and works to build relationships with the Chinese people. As her English center's team leader, she plans outreach activities, oversees and cares for the short- and long-term teachers at her site, and oversees the day-to-day activities and decisions of the English center.



Macau Horkey Support
Anna Horkey serves the Lord and the LCMS as a long-term missionary in Macau, where she teaches English as a Foreign Language. Her ministry includes building relationships with students and others in Macau in order to reach out to them with the love of Christ and the Good News. Macau John and Doris Bowerman Support
John and Doris Bowerman serve God in Macau where they teach English as a Foreign Language. Macau is a special administrative region of China, located near Hong Kong. John and Doris accepted this call to long-term service in February 2007. The Bowermans prepared for their service by attending LCMS World Mission missionary orientation and EFL training at Concordia University, St. Paul. Your gift helps the Bowermans serve in Macau and proclaim the Gospel to their students.



Macau Luebbe Support
Jessica Luebbe serves as a long-term missionary in Macau, a Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. She teaches English classes at Concordia English Center and shares the love of Christ with her students through these classes and other activities at the center. She also does some one-on-one tutoring with students and helps lead English Bible studies. Your support helps Jessica to share the Gospel with her students.



Macau Myers Support
Matt and Kim Myers serve the Lord through LCMS World Mission in Macau, where Matt provides leadership for and manages the Concordia English Center in Macau, a special administrative region of China. He provides English-as-a-Foreign-Language (EFL) expertise and consulting for area-wide EFL ministry. In personal life and work, Matt and Kim model thankfulness to God for Jesus’ saving work through personal trust in God and through a God-given love for other people. Macau Outreach
Concordia Outreach/English Center is located in an international tourist city with gambling as its main focus for tourism. The Outreach Center is used as an entry point to welcome Macau residents and contract workers from around the world into a warm and loving Christian community. The center is also home to Living Water Home Fellowship and many EFL classes. Your gift helps keep this efficient evangelism center running smoothly, bringing Good News to those who need to hear.



Macau Owens Support
Sharon Owens serves as a missionary in Macau as director of English as a Foreign Language outreach. She is also part of the Greater China ministry team and the Macau church planting team. Sharon helps establish a locally led Chinese Lutheran congregation and provides leadership, vision and administration.
