Giving Opportunities

South Korea: Segregated into two countries at the 38th parallel in 1953, North and South Korea represent two distinct and conflicting philosophical views, Communism and Democracy. Korea is one of the world's most ethnically homogeneous nations, with Koreans making up 99.8 percent of the population.

Korea International Lutheran Church
LCMS World Mission supports the ministry of several international congregations around the world like this one in South Korea. The congregation primarily ministers in English to the expatriate community. Due to the frequent turnover of expatriates, however, financial support is unstable. Members are well poised for mission outreach to nationals and other expatriates. You can help them!

Korea Strategic Mission Mobilization
The Lutheran Church in Korea has officially adopted the vision of Ablaze!, but the implementation of that vision at the grassroots level is still being developed. LCMS world mission seeks to support and encourage increased mission outreach from the LCK not only locally, but also into other parts of Asia. You gift will help mobilize churches and individuals into mission action throughout East Asia.

Korea Strategic Volunteer Support
One of the efforts of the LCMS World Mission in Korea is to increase the outreach opportunities and Gospel touches of our partner church’s congregations through short- and long-term mission work, both from the LCMS and also from our partner churches in Asia.

South Korea Hoyer Support
Lynne V. Hoyer serves as a missionary at Luther University (LTU) in Yongin City, South Korea. LTU is the seminary and university for the Lutheran Church in Korea, the Korean partner church of the LCMS. Lynne is an English-as-a-Foreign-Language professor, which includes teaching classes at the university and in an on-site community education program available to children and adults. Your support will help Lynne continue building relationships with the Korean people, so that she can share the Gospel with unbelievers and encourage Christian Koreans in their faith.

South Korea O’Neal Support
Patrick and Jennifer O'Neal serve the Lord as missionaries based in Seoul, South Korea. Patrick has been called to work as Strategic Mission Developer - North Asia. Specifically, he is working closely with the Lutheran Church in Korea (LCK) as they develop regional strategies for mission work in North Asia. Already a number of congregations in the LCK are involved in short-term mission trips and training evangelists. LCMS World Mission and LCK are striving to develop joint mission projects so that more people in North Asia might have their hearts set Ablaze! through hearing the Gospel. Make your gift today!
