Thailand: Thailand is one of the more advanced developing countries of Asia. The name means "land of the free." For 700 years, the people of this 198,457 square mile country have kept their freedom. The government is a constitutional monarchy. Claiming more than 92.3 percent of the population, Buddhism is the state religion in Thailand.

Thailand Administration Administration is something every mission/church must do and have, but nobody likes to fund administration. Without it, mission and ministry stop. The Thailand mission office shares the same office as the S.E. Asia office for LCMS World Mission. The administration budget helps pay for the rent and utilities for the building. The administrative budget provides for all expenses not covered by any other Thailand projects. Be different! Make a gift where the mission in Thailand needs it most.

Thailand CGM Center Chaengwattana and Volunteers Your gift helps provide facilities for an English-as-a-Foreign-Language learning center, in partnership with Into Light Church. Thai staff, church members, and career, contract and volunteer missionaries use this center as a means of reaching out to the community with the Good News about Jesus. Non-Christian students who attend English classes hear the Gospel and see what it means to be a Christian...many for the first time!

Thailand CGM Center Phongphet Concordia Lutheran Church Phongphet was started by the LCMS and Thai Lutheran mission efforts through Concordia Gospel Ministry Center. In six 6-week terms during the year, 50-100 children and adults are enrolled in evening and weekend English classes offered by the church and taught by church members and LCMS missionaries. Your gift helps share the Gospel with every student through evangelistic media presented inside and outside the classroom.

Thailand Denow Support Dennis Denow serves as the Asia education consultant, where he is developing ways to assist the more than 200 Lutheran schools, LCMS partner churches, and missionaries throughout Asia. Areas of involvement include teacher training, curriculum development for teaching English as a Foreign Language and Bible courses, spiritual development, and outreach methods.

Thailand Hedtke Support Rev. Bob and Diana Hedtke serve as missionaries in Thailand. Bob is the strategic mission developer for Thailand and centered in Bangkok. The Hedtkes� ministry is to share God�s Word and His love with the people of Thailand in various ways. They travel often to northern Thailand to work among the hill tribe peoples there. They also work in the tsunami-affected southern parts of the country. Bob also serves as the country coordinator�overseeing efforts to set the entire nation Ablaze! with God�s love. You gift will help the Hedtkes tell Thai people about Jesus� saving love and equip new believers to share their faith with others.

Thailand Karkan Support Betsy Karkan serves the Lord as an LCMS long-term missionary in Bangkok, Thailand, where she is involved in project planning and implementation to aid in alleviating poverty for many Thai people. She also seeks to build relationships in the local community and helps host short-term mission teams. Your support helps Betsy and other missionaries share the Good News with the people of Thailand!

Thailand Kaye Support Rev. Carl and Grace Kaye serve as LCMS World Mission missionaries in Thailand. Carl coordinates short-term mission service opportunities and projects in Thailand with LCMS churches and works with GEO missionaries serving in Thailand. The Kayes also develop and explore new mission opportunities in Thailand and facilitate cooperation with registered service organizations of the LCMS, non-governmental organizations, and partner churches in Southeast Asia. Your support helps Carl and Grace share the Gospel with the people of Thailand.

Thailand Local Churches Salary Support Your gift helps subsidize a local Thai pastor and his congregation, as the congregation is not yet able to fully support his salary. In the future, he will increasingly be supported locally for the full amount. As the local church contribution grows, LCMS World Mission's subsidy will decrease.

Thailand Longmire Support Sarah Longmire serves through LCMS World Mission as a long-term missionary in Thailand as she is completing her deaconess internship. She works in two day care centers that provide spiritual education to children who live in the poorest areas of Bangkok. Your gift helps her to share the Gospel with the children in these centers.

Thailand McCoy Support Robin McCoy serves the Lord as a long-term missionary in Thailand, where she teaches English as a Foreign Language. Another aspect of her ministry is building relationships with the people she meets in Thailand and telling them about the love of Jesus Christ. Give now to support Robin�s work in Thailand as she shares the Gospel in deed and word with many Thai people who have never heard of Jesus.

Thailand Training Curriculum Development Your gift serves as a catalyst in obtaining important and useful Lutheran study, reference and training materials in Thai to better serve the growing LCMS World Mission church plants in Bangkok. It also helps with Christian social welfare projects associated with LCMS World Mission through the Concordia Welfare and Education Foundation�-Thailand. Little or no Lutheran resources are available in Thai. Thailand desperately needs your support of this vital work.
