Brazil: The Brazilian church first became an LCMS district. In 1980, the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brazil (IELB) became an independent partner church to the LCMS. LCMS World Mission helps the IELB in mission outreach, church planting, construction for new congregations and theological education.

Brazil Itinerant Ministry in Western Sao Paulo State
The state of São Paulo has many large cities where there are Lutheran Hour listeners, but no Lutheran congregations. A Brazilian pastor travels between these cities, working with people in Bible studies, in the hope of planting congregations.

Brazil Macedonia Project
This project provides material for training and travel expenses for Rev. Hennicke as he travels around Brazil and sets peoples’ hearts Ablaze! with the love of Jesus!

Brazil Povo Novo New Mission
Your partnership with the Povo Novo congregation will build a new church in a new location and a sense of permanence that a building provides.

Brazil Theological Education Sao Leopoldo
Your gift helps Concordia Seminary in Sao Leopoldo, Brazil. Most Brazilian pastors come from poor families and seminary tuition doesn’t support all that is needed to maintain the seminary budget. The students’ tuition only pays the food and lodging. Today, with 162 students at the seminary, 79 need a scholarship to study there. How many new pastors can you help to attain their places in the mission of the Brazilian church?
