Giving Opportunities

Dominican Republic: LCMS World Mission, LCMS World Relief/Human Care, Bethesda Lutheran Homes and the Central American Lutheran Mission Society have partnered to plant a new church and help developmentally disabled people. The partnership shares the Gospel and addresses some terribly inhumane conditions.

Dominican Putnam Support
Danelle Putnam serves the Lord in Dominican Republic as a developmental disabilities outreach missionary. She is a part of the first-time placement of missionary personnel in Dominican Republic. Danelle’s work includes reaching out in various ways to people with developmental disabilities and their families. The goal is then to identify and train Dominicans to be able to minister themselves to people with developmental disabilities. Your gift helps her help them!

Dominican Republic Krey Support
Rev. Ted and Rebecca Krey serve in the Dominican Republic, where Ted works with future pastors, deacons, and deaconesses. Ted also serves alongside co-missionary Rev. Walter Ries, of Brazil, to establish a theological education program to train more Lutherans to serve in the church. Ted and Walter are also working to establish the first Lutheran congregations in the country. Pray for them and that the Lord would bless the preaching of His Word.

Dominican Republic Ries Support
Pastor Walter and Ana Ries, missionaries from Brazil, are working in the Dominican Republic to train national leaders and plant churches. Even through the Lutheran church is new to the country, there are many evangelistic opportunities because the Dominican people are interested in knowing more about the church. Some of the people most interested are already leaders in their communities. Give to Walter and Ana’s ministry today to support the growth of God’s kingdom in the Dominican Republic!
