Giving Opportunities

Kansas District: Mission statement: The servant mission of The Kansas District is to equip, encourage and empower each congregation in its mission vision and Christ-care ministry.

Education Loan Repayment
Staggering loan amounts, in some cases, have caused church workers to leave the ministry simply because they could not financially meet their existing and daily debts. The care and keeping of our professional church workers is of utmost importance. Your gift helps provide grants to rostered church workers, helping them repay college and/or seminary education loans.

Guinea Partnership
Since 1997, the Kansas District has partnered with LCMS World Mission to spread the Good News in Guinea, West Africa, primarily among Muslim people groups. Your gift will support missionaries and their families as well as special mission projects.

Support the Kansas Districts where needed most.

Kansas District Disaster Response and Recovery
The Kansas District has experienced disasters in all 105 of our counties in the past year and half. The recovery efforts of Greensburg, Kansas, are going well through the LCMS World Relief and Human Care sponsored Volunteer Village, recently recognized for outstanding partnership from the national Volunteer Organizations Assisting in Disaster (VOAD) organization. Your gift will help the Kansas District respond to the tornado that destroyed 85% of Chapman, Kansas and caused significant damage to Manhattan, Kansas.

Retreat Center Endowment Fund
The primary mission for the Retreat Center in Herington is to create a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere where professional church workers can rest and reconnect with God and family. Your gift will help maintain, equip and repair the facility and reduce the fees associated with the use of the facility.

Scholarships for Future Church Workers
The Kansas District offers scholarship grants-in-aid to students attending any LCMS college or seminary and pursuing a degree in professional church work. We want to encourage more of our members to become church workers, but the high cost of tuition can be overwhelming. “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” Your gift helps provide financial assistance to students training to be workers in the harvest field.
